Justice for Josh

Hello, my name is Jessica Whitmore. My brother was shot in the chest in his home in Severance, Colorado and pronounced dead on May 9th, 2021. His name is Joshua James Whitmore. He was a father, a brother, a son, and my best friend. Unfortunately, when he was shot, we were not officially informed. Instead, we heard through a rumor he had passed away. I immediately started making phone calls and driving to Severance to see if these rumors were true. When I arrived at the police station, I was the first official family member to be told my brother had passed away (it had been well over 12 hours). The young man who was with my brother that night told police HE was Joshua's brother. This young man's mother also told police SHE was Joshua's mother. They told police Josh had shot himself. The Severance police did not look for Josh's real family. My sister and I were some of the last people to talk to Josh that day, and HE WAS NOT SUICIDAL! I am starting this fundraiser so that my family and I can hire a Private Investigator and an attorney. I'm also just trying to get his case out there so I may find people to donate their time to look over his case.
