Lila

Hope you’re having a great and wonderful day. My name is Gary Nurse, I’m a writer/director/actor and I need your help on an exciting cinematic venture. We're currently prepping a short film to be shot early August in Newport Wales called LILA (working title).


LILA is a story about health, love, loss and redemption. Vincent (40) toils with his own desperation as he tries to figure out whether his world is real, or only a figment of his imagination. His strife has been triggered by the fact his love, Gina has a terminal illness.

In a world of make belief and fantasy, one must think M. Night Shymalan’s trilogy Unbreakable, Split and Glass, meets Britt Marling’s The OA.

The film is set in Newport Wales. The city is full of authenticity and history, so we intend to show this wonderful town in its fullest. The film will be slick in terms of aesthetics with BAFTA award winning cinematographer Keefa Chan (Wales’ own). BAFTA award winning prosthetics artist Danny Marie, LILA will set the tone for what I feel will be a new and fresh genre in film.
