Support for the North Family

On the night of 26 January 2023 after a short but fierce battle, the world lost a tremendous human in Vanessa Jayne North.

Ness is survived by the love of her life, Richard North and their two young children Stella & Oscar.

An enthusiastic trail runner, Ness was well-known in the trail running community across Victoria and played an integral role in the event coordination of Tassie Trailfest since 2020 alongside her husband Richard. An inspiration to her children Ness continued to compete well into her pregnancy with Stella, and took her young daughter to events with her. She was an expert crewer and played a fundamental role in assisting runners in many events.

Ness also dedicated her life to helping others working as a nurse for many years with care and compassion for everyone she cared for.

Any and all funds raised will go directly to Richard, Stella, & Oscar to assist with paying funeral costs and to allow Richard time away from work to focus on being a dad.
