My name is Brittany Turner, from Phoenix, AZ, I am his godmother and best friends to his mother, Sydney. It breaks my heart to see all of these negative posts that are surrounding the ones near and dear to my heart. As I'm sure many of you have seen or heard of this trending story by now, a little boy by the name of Cayden,
has became a victim to heinous crimes known as racism and cyber bullying. A young child, only 3 years old, who doesn't even know how to tie his own shoes yet. I can't possibly understand what would make someone want to do this to a child, it's just truly disturbing.
Instead of continuing to shed light on all of the dark aspects of this horrible act, I would like to shed a lot of light onto the good things. This young man has a full life ahead of him. I wanted to create this for Cayden, simply for that reason alone. A few years down the road when he is much older and in school, he or someone else will be able to google his name (as we all have done a time or two) and find that hateful post.
I do know that a few people have been reaching out about how they can support this family, so I took it upon myself to start a college fund in his name. To raise money to help this young man prevail in life, and to never have to worry about falling short. His mother didn't ask for any of this, and she surely didn't expect it. Here is a way for us to all gather together, and continue to support Cayden in our own various ways.
Thank you in advance.
Update: GoFundMe is asking for more information on myself. My name is Brittany Turner, and I am from Huntsville, AL but am currently residing in Phoenix, AZ due to work. Sydney, Cayden's mom, is my best friend. We met at Tuskegee University in 2007. Cayden, is my godson. I started this GoFundMe with the intentions of having a way for all of the loving supporters to donate to furthering the education of Cayden. People all over were asking how they could send him money for college and I figured that this was the best way of doing so, instead of giving out personal information. The funds are going to be directly deposited into Cayden's personal savings account.
