My Mom Alma Dunstan-McDaniel who is a good friend to many in the bay area needs your help. Alma has retired after many years as a psychotherapist providing marriage and family therapy throughout the bay area and at 79 is facing some daunting issues on a limited income.

She is between a rock and a hard place and realistically between Novato and Petaluma. Because of increasing rent realities at her Novato apartment complex, she was forced to search for other accommodations. She had to be out of her Novato apartment by July 2018 and planned to move to Petaluma to an apartment under renovation near my sister and I.

For a variety of reasons, the renovation is still underway and she’s unable move into the Petaluma site. Friends have graciously taken Alma into their homes until the apartment renovation is complete.

Here is the crux of Alma’s dilemma. During the time of her move from Novato and her temporary stay with friends her car was stolen off the street in San Francisco. That is the reason we are reaching out to friends, family and acquaintances to help fund the purchase of a clean and well maintained used car.

The sooner the better as she cannot rent a car and is staying with various friends in The City who cannot continue to drive her everywhere.
