Help Petra

Hey everyone,

I live in Spain and I'm currently visiting my country Jordan. A few days ago on our way back to Amman from our trip to Petra, it was heartbreaking to see the amount of helpless stray dogs in the streets.

On the highway there was this little puppy, alone in the middle of the streets about to get run over. We stopped the car and I immediately went to pick her up and she was crying for help. She was covered in ticks and fleas, had a piece of her ear bit off, was extremely thin, and was completely alone. I couldn't leave her as I knew if I did she wouldn't survive on her own.

We took her to the vet and they confirmed that she is a 3 month old female Canaan puppy. Canaan dogs have been in existence for thousands of years and are one of the most intelligent, loyal, and beautiful breeds. Yet unfortunately they are highly abused, abandoned, and misunderstood in the Middle East.

That is why I want to take her with me back to Spain and foster her until I am able to find her the perfect home that she deserves. Despite of what she has been through, she continues to be an angel ready to give all the love and affection needed to bless any home.

I've named her Petra as she is representative of the resilience and magicalness of the ancient city. Let us help Petra with anything that we can and make sure she gets the home she deserves.

I have to leave back to Spain for work. However, Petra will remain in Jordan. I have collaborated with a clinic that will complete the protocols required to fly her to Spain which takes around a month and a half. In the meantime, she will be residing at a boarding facility.
