**Help Us Save Our Beloved Music Venue: The Star Inn Ashford**

Dear Friends and Community members.

It is with a heavy heart and a deep sense of urgency that we reach out to you today. For years our cherished venue, The Star Inn Ashford has been more than just a local watering hole—it's been a cornerstone of our community. 

The Star Inn Ashford isn't just a place to grab a drink. It's where strangers become friends, where life's milestones are celebrated, and where music comes alive in the hearts of our community. They have hosted countless events: birthday parties, reunions, and those unforgettable nights where the music was so good, it seemed to make time stand still.

We have spent the last year building a community and safe place to go for people to listen and enjoy alternative music, have a few drinks and make friendships with people with similar interests.

More recently it has become the only venue that has opened their arms and doors to promotors that are pushing to keep the alternative scene alive in Ashford, allowing them to put on countless successful live music events and more importantly allowing up and coming bands to play their beloved music to a bigger crowd so they can build their following and fan base. 

Without The Star Inn Ashford, this community would not be where it is today and we are determined to carry on building on what they have given us the opportunity to form.

However, the challenges of recent years have hit them hard. With a drastic decline in business due to ongoing restrictions and the rising costs of maintaining the venue, they are now facing the very real possibility of having to close their doors forever. The thought of losing this beloved space, where so many have found joy and solace, is heart breaking.

The Star Inn Ashford is not just a business; it is someone’s home, and for many—a place where local musicians get their start, where regulars find their refuge, and where the community gathers to share in the joy of live music and good company. It's a place that has always welcomed everyone, offering a cold drink, and an evening of entertainment when it’s needed most.

We have had people travel here from far and wide to help support our locals bands, and we have heard countless stories from customers and friends reminiscing where The Star Inn Ashford was the place so many memories were made. Some, who may not have visited the venue is years are now venturing back to enjoy the music and are so happy to see it is striving again. 

We can't do this alone, and that's why we are turning to you, our cherished community. We need your help to keep The Star Inn Ashford alive. Your donations will go directly towards stopping the venue from being forced to close, and allowing us to keep the venue that has been the home to so many amazing events! 

Every donation counts, and no contribution is too small. Together, we can ensure that our favourite music venue and pub can continue to be a place of happiness and harmony, a place where memories are made and music lives on. We are not ready to let the music stop, and with your support, we won't have to.

We are also in the process of creating a number of fundraising events where all proceeds will go towards keeping our beloved music playing!
