Oliver's open heart surgery
Donation protected
Oliver is a sweet, happy, giggly four month old baby. Just by looking at him you would never guess he was born with a hole in his heart. At only 2 days old, he was diagnosed with a ventricular septal defect (VSD). The doctors were hopeful that the hole wouldn't cause any problems and would close on its own, but unfortunately that isn't the case. At 2 weeks old, Oliver was hospitalized after his mother noticed him struggling to breathe. He had fluid backing up into his lungs and swelling around his heart. That was the first of many hospital visits and many more sleepless nights as his parents watched and counted every breath. After many hours of research and planning, his parents decided to move across the country in order to give Oliver the very best in medical care. They fought to get him into a world renowned hospital that isnt accepting new patients. As his mother puts it, "No was not an acceptable answer". They are now 4 months into this journey with their little heart warrior. Open heart surgery is just days away. Emotions are high. And bills are piling up. I'm starting this fundraiser in hopes of helping them even just a little by offsetting some of those expenses. No parent should have to be worried about finances during a time like this.
If you cannot donate, please keep Oliver in your prayers.
