Dozer’s end of life care.
Donation protected
I’m setting up a go fund me page in the hope of helping my aunt out with the medical expense with (Wo)man’s best friend, her companion, her chocolate Labrador, Dozer. Dozer is the love of her life, best friend, protector and biggest admirer. He’s seen her through the death of her 12 year old nephew, the unexpected death of her father as well as many disappointments and heartaches. Dozer also has seen her through her own life threatening ailment by loving her with cuddles and depending on her to recover, motivating her to heal. His never wavering love for her and life has made the last almost 8 years so very special for her. Their bond is undeniable. She just recently learned he was born with the birth defect of underdeveloped kidneys. My aunt has worked tirelessly to give Dozer the best quality of life and health care she possibly can throughout his entire life. Dozer began showing signs of sickness and after relentless trips to the vet and specialist which included multiple blood and urine testing , an X-ray and ultrasound he was diagnosed with not only underdeveloped kidneys but cancer in one kidney and chronic kidney disease. Dozer’s health has began to decline which has required medication as well. She has paid monthly for wellness insurance since he was 6 weeks old but It didn’t cover much of the testing. My aunt as you can imagine is beyond devastated! She has invested so much time, love and financial care into Dozer. She has had him since he was just weeks old and has watched him grow into this beautiful chocolate, spunky, goof ball who’s a total love bug. Dozer is her heart and the love of her life! She is beside herself with grief and her only wish at this point is to give Dozer the same love, honor, dignity he has always shown her. Dozer has been given months to live at best, with all the issues with his kidneys there is not much more that can be done. Her expenses on top of all the medical expenses include a very expensive special prescription diet as well as some she hand cooks herself and pet sitting now that he needs more frequent trips out. Her one wish is that his termination of life is at home and as pain free, peaceful and stress free as possible for them both. The cost to have him euthanized at home, taken for cremation and his urn comes with a hefty price tag for a single income in conjunction with all the above mentioned expenses. I’m looking to raise $1,500 to help her and help Dozer and to give them both the end of life care they both deserve without causing them more stress and her further financial distress. Any generosity no matter how big, or small would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
