Summit San Jose is a public charter school in East San Jose. Our students are predominantly Latino and Asian American, and many will be the first in their families to go to college. Our goal is to expose students to colleges, the admissions process, but also continue to build community. Being able to go on this trip, will be a great experience for all of them!
We will be touring LMU, UCLA, Long Beach and attending the Museum of Tolerance. Some of our students will also get the opportunity to attend the California Science Center or the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, as well as potentially meet some music record producers.
Our trip is planned for early-April. To get there, we need to raise approximately $6400, or about $95 per student for lodging, food, admission to museums, and transportation costs. We don't want to have to turn any student away for lack of funds--so we are asking all of you to please help with any amount that you can so that we can make this trip happen.
