787 Crash Victims Fund

On Saturday, February 8, 2020, four teenagers from our community were struck by a moving vehicle on the corner of Tibbits Avenue & 787 in Green Island, NY.
One of those teenagers died on the scene from his injuries and three others are currently in the hospital with multiple fractures & other serious injuries. One remains in critical condition with severe head trauma & multiple facial fractures and he is currently in a medically-induced coma.
In addition to medical expenses, the parents are unable to work as they tend 24/7 to their children in the hospital. One family, hurt the most by this unfortunate accident, will be making funeral arrangements for their son as they watch over their daughter recovering from two surgeries that were required to repair her broken bones.
All proceeds from this GoFundMe (less any fees) will be given directly to the three families to help with any expenses they may currently be facing.
I am a friend of all the families involved. We're all from the same small town where everybody knows everybody. I am in daily contact with the family members as we have also established a "food chain" delivering meals to the hospital twice a day everyday since the crash. The money raised here is to be split equally (4 ways) for the 4 kids hit by the car and will be run through my personal account & distributed in the form of bank checks to the parents. We have discussed this an all are in agreement that this is how it should be distributed. One family has two kids involved...they will receive benefits for both as one of their children died as a result of his injuries and the other requires extensive physical therapy She will need to learn to walk again after severely injuring both legs, a hip & a knee which required surgery.
