Help Butcher/Sam get top surgery!

HEY!!!!

My name is Sam or Butcher in the drag scene and I’m finally getting top surgery!! I just got my date for DECEMBER 11th 2025!!!

I am a disabled full time student working 36hrs/wk and helping my family pay off the medical bills, so I need a little help to reach my goal to make this possible!

Getting top surgery has always felt unfathomable until now - something that people just talk about online.

When I got involved with the Chicago drag scene, my perspective and support system has changed fundamentally. I’ve never felt more supported and comfortable in my being until I started performing. With all this gratitude, I still struggle heavily on a day-to-day basis with gender expression, particularly with chest binding/taping. Both methods have done damage to my body, as most others who use the same know. It’s becoming increasingly unsustainable for me on a regular basis due to skin sensitivity and back problems.

This year I finally started to explore my chances for surgery and start to make this real. This year has been a whirlwind for my health with various medical testing and visits, as long as my insurance goes through, I won’t have to pay much over 3k if done before the new year.

I’m hoping to save/raise about 3.5k for surgery and recovery costs. (This goal includes my savings as well)

I will be selling art, doing gigs as my body allows, and hosting a fundraiser drag show, and saving all I can!
