Hi, I am Gabrielle Morningstar's sister and I am asking you for help. She is a 78 year-old woman who spent her life helping others as a nurse and paramedic. To make it worse she was just laid off from her employment.

Yesterday, she let her companion dog into her fenced yard to relieve himself when she heard an awful commotion. Behind her house was a 6' privacy fence. The dog beyond that fence broke through the wooden fence and attacked Nikki the dog. She got there as fast as she could, but by then the dog was dragging her Australian Shepherd into its yard through the hole it created.

She tried to help her dog and get it back on her side of the fence when it reached through and turned on her, mauling her arm.

Gabrielle had to have surgery today to repair the damage to her arm. The dog may still lose its right rear leg.

I am asking for your help with her medical expenses, the veterinary bills, and the many incidentals that go with a major traumatic event. She was barely making ends meet as it was. I fear for her ability to manage after this major financial hit.
