Help for Ivy

Hey everyone,

This is Vito, Danika and our baby girl Ivy.

On Christmas Eve our dog Ivy got out from the house and found herself on the main road. We saw her unfortunately get hit by a car. Ivy was admitted into Sydney Animal Hospital’s ICU unit due to her injuries sustained to her lungs and ribs. The trauma of the accident has caused a pneumothorax and lung contusions on both sides of her lungs making it difficult for her to breathe as her lungs cannot expand normally, which can lead to her lung collapsing if untreated.

Since this happened during Christmas eve, the hospital we admitted her into was not open for an overnight stay. Resulting in transferring Ivy to the Animal Referral Hospital to be monitored overnight. After all the procedures, the transfer between the two hospitals and public holiday rates, the vet/medical costs did double up to the total of $3700 since she had to be seen by multiple doctors.

As this was all so sudden, we both weren’t prepared for the total costs during these holidays. Any donation would mean the absolute world to Ivy and us. Even sharing this page/link would really help.
