Dixie Fire relief for Emma Sordi & Family
It is with deep sadness that we have found that Emma Sordi, a current employee of ours, and her family have lost their home to this monster of a fire. We are going to try to help in any way possible but, with that, we would also like to ask our Plumas Pines family to donate to a fund set up for her and her family. We know this won’t rebuild their home but it may at least get them back on their feet. Expenses are piling up between lodging, food, fuel and other necessities. Let's bless them and help ease their burden while her and her parents focus on rebuilding. Emma has been an employee of ours for three seasons and has been nothing but great for us at the Marina.
Emma not only lost everything she had at home for the summer but her mom Stacey Stoy and step father Doug Stoy lost their beautiful home and everything in it. They called Indian Valley their home since 2008. Doug who was born and raised in Indian Valley is the owner of Stoy Logging out of Greenville and has been working endlessly to stop this fire from spreading. He and his crew were even part of the dozer lines and clearing that were made, to try to keep the fire from reaching Plumas Pines. We as a business and community can’t thank him enough for what he has done and is continuing to do while not having a home to go to.
