On Monday, June 8th Howard Brown was struck by a drunk driver on his way home from work. Tragically, one of the best people I've ever met in my life had his leg amputated shortly after being life flighted to the hospital in Bangor, Maine. I cannot imagine the anger, frustration, and pain that Howard and his amazing wife Holly are feeling right now. I think it's imperative to get the ball rolling on alleviating the stress of hotels, future medical costs, and any other expenses that might incur while enduring this extremely difficult time.
Why GoFundMe?
Howard has directly impacted a large group of people personally and professionally. Just in the two day's since the accident the amount of people that have reached out to me personally to provide help for Howard and Holly has been astounding. I want to make sure that our efforts are consolidated and easy to share so we can get the largest amount of money put together to help reduce the financial stress they might have in the months to come.
I've worked with Howard for the last two years here in Augusta. He has made me feel at home in a new workplace, supported me in my new role as his boss, and made me look forward to seeing his truck parked outside the building. Howard is a genuinely good person that had his life tragically altered in a second. Let's pay it forward and do whatever we can to help him and his family. He'd do it for you.
