Pinewood Dream

My name is Hayden and I am 10 years old. I am a 5th grader at Pinewood Elementary School and  I am currently the President of my Student Government Association.  Many years I have struggled with confidence issues and this school has giving me the ability to gain my confidence back. Each teacher gives you undivided attention that you need to excel to the best of your ability. We are a blue ribbon school which means the students and teachers at our school excel. Our teachers make learning fun. I get up every morning and cant wait to go to school to learn. I know you have probably heard this about many schools but Pinewood Elementary School has changed my life, my friends lives and our community lives as they are constantly giving back to others. When I was elected President this year I am an outside the box thinker and I said to my mom. I am president of my school and I feel like I need to give back to the school who has made me what I am today. I also help my mom with fundraising projects and I know I can make my mark before I graduate in June of 2020. I thought how can a give back to all the teachers who give to all these students every single day of their lives. So I spoke to my mom and asked her if I could go do something big for my school and reach a milestone. I threw the idea around to my friends at the lunch table and we as a fifth grade decided to raise enough money to give each class from kindergarten to fifth grade $1000.00 to each teacher  to buy extra supplies that they need to make learning better for each child that walks through that front door. I am only ten but I am reaching for the stars. I want to graduate and leave my elementary school with a memory and legacy of me being a true president. I cant do this big task alone, I need your help to accomplish my goal. Can you please help me help those who have impacted my life in such a positive way. Just to let you know our Principal she is one of a kind, she always has a smile on her face, she has lunch bunches with a the students, She goes out of her way to make every student feel special. I think everyone knows you cant be a successful president without  team. Now I am going to introduce Hilary the vice president of our student government association. See updates for her story.

My Mother Kim S. is our parent representative and handles our account. Once the money is withdrawn it is forwarded to the Pinewood Principal.
The funds will be used by individual teachers to enhance their classrooms to better fufill the student learning environment.
