This is Hugo.  He already had one surgery at two months old for PRAA (Persistent Right Aortic Arch).  This caused his heart to put too much pressure on his esophagus, which means he can only eat sitting upright in his Bailey Chair.  You can read his full story here: Hugo's Story 

Unfortunately for our poor puppy, he will need two more surgeries in the upcoming months, but this time it’s for his knees, and not his heart. Both of his cruciate ligaments in his hind legs are ruptured due to a genetic condition and are making it hard for him to walk, run, and play.  Luckily, the awesome surgeon who fixed his "broken" heart will be fixing his knees, too. 

We know the whole team at MSPCA Angell will take great care of him, but it will be very expensive.  Each surgery will cost approximately $4,000  (see attached estimate).  Hugo's first surgery will be at the end of June and his second one will be in early Fall.  Hugo has had a rough start to his life, but he is such a little love and makes our home feel complete. We want to be able to see him running around as his happy little self again soon. 

If you are able to donate any amount to help with Hugo's medical expenses, we would be forever grateful.  If we receive more than our goal, all donations will be given to the MSPCA Boston to help other animals who can’t afford the medical care they need.
