My dear friend Nicole was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in March. She is looking at a long five months of chemotherapy, followed by radiation and additional surgery.
In 2016 Nicole relocated to California to be an ICU nurse at Stanford University Hospital as part of a travel assignment. She has remained in California ever since. Being far away from her friends in Colorado makes this much more difficult. There will also be long stretches where she will have to step aside from her ICU nursing position to undergo treatment.
Many of you have asked what you can do to help. This diagnosis comes with immense medical costs. If you are able to donate and help Nicole it would relive some of the stress of the immense financial burden that comes with this diagnosis.
Despite all of this Nicole remains the same funny, energetic, and sarcastic person we all know and love.
