Emergency Expense

Hey there! My name is Melissa. I set up this fundraiser to help me and my kids.

This is by far the most embarrassing thing I have had to do. Asking for help!

I'm 43 and a single mom to 4. Pictured you will see my 4 kids, plus my daughters girlfriend who has been living with us for 5 years (long story, but she is amazing). I work full time, however, some unexpected expenses came up last month leaving me extremely short for my rent, and a few other bills.

2 years ago I left my husband. Some things built of over the years and it just wasn't a good situation anymore, for me or my kids. I had to start over new. My own vehicle, my own place to live, all of it.

I'm a hard working mom, always trying my best to make sure my kids have everything they need, and a place to call home. I don't have any extra help coming in, just my single income. I'm constantly looking for more work. But sometimes it can be a real struggle. Usually I find my way through. This time is proving more difficult. So I am setting up this GoFundMe to ask for help.

These days you are nothing more than an investment to your landlords. I get that, I do. I would never ask for favors or to live rent free. However, the reality is that if I can't pay, there is always someone else who can. I fought hard when I had to restart on my own. I got us this rental and I intend to keep it. I just need a little help. . . from you.

I'm asking you, from the bottom of my heart to help me this one time to raise the money I need. It would mean a great deal to me and my kids. It will ensure that we won't lose our home and be homeless.
