I see this photo and I see everything my family and I built, gone...all in a night. 2 am Friday our street became filled with fire fighters from the Woodstock and Acworth fire departments as they all worked bravely to save what we knew as home...a place that held every piece of kindergarten art work to every homemade mothers day and fathers day card, every photo or item I had left of my brother who passed away only 2 years ago, from every trophy to every document...we watched as this fire destroyed years of hard work. My fiance is the owner of a small landscaping business, American Turf, that financed our lives. You are looking at the garage (and what used to be the master above) that held equipment and tools that maintained that business. We are at a loss and taking each day, HOUR, as a blessing that we have each other - alive and healthy. Our 14 daughter is our main concern as she begins freshman year without a single pair of jeans or pair of sneakers for gym class. She's an avid volleyball player and couldn't wait to tryout in the fall at Etowah. I am sadly reaching out for any help our community has to offer in this tragic moment of our life. Ironically, I still feel blessed; even though proof of our past doesn't exist, I am SO blessed to still be here with my baby girl, 2 dogs (one is recovering from the toxins) and a man I love. For EVERYONE that comes across this post, I want to encourage you to focus on what MATTERS in life, the ones we are able to share it with....and to get a fireproof box for documents and memorabilia! Thank you to each and every person that has stopped by our home while driving by and offered their support. Thank you for showing my daughter this world is filled with LOVE in a time of need.

(I actually took this photo Thursday evening to show my fiance the screen came off)
