As most of you know, our grandmother just passed very suddenly and unexpectedly last week, there is NO will , NO life insurance , NO assets , nothing but memories and pictures now.
The cemetery plot was purchased back in 1986 when my uncle Vinny passed away in an accident, even he only has a flat to the ground stone you cannot see, and in 2008 when my grandfather Vincent J passed away , again suddenly , we had no income or insurance and came up with only just enough funds to bury him with very minimal showing/ceremony time.
One thing that always bothered me & my grandma was that there wasn't any headstone monument honoring our families loved ones , but due to funding and my grandmas very fixed income she had only enough to survive with to pay the bills she had coming in. they lived very modest lives , and loved everyone they came in contact with , my grandma & grandpa were the type to pull the last $5 dollar bill out of their wallets if you needed it !
Now it has become my mission to not only fulfill my grandmas dream of having a monument but honor my families legacy , in the days following her passing , I have made calls and HOLY smokes , between the monument itself and the cemetery fees its crazy what these cost, I have located a monument company that will take care of it , with a very modest and minimum gravestone monument , just enough to get our name on it for $4000.00 upfront and the rest I will be making payments on until paid off .
Thank you for your consideration
