Dillon Kantlehner Recovery Fund
Donation protected
The South Florida yachting community is known for its care and compassion to those in need. This is a plea to assist a member of our industry in their time of need.
Patti Trusel, a Fort Lauderdale Charter Marketing Coordinator has been called to attend to her son Dillon Kantlehner, age 25, now in a Providence, Rhode Island hospital.
Dillon suffered serious injuries in a house fire very recently. Dillon has undergone skin grafting surgeries and requires around the clock care in the Burn Unit. The extent of his injuries leaves him dependent on Patti for many hours each day for his most basic needs.
Dillon is facing many more months of medical care and rehabilitation. He will be unable to work in the foreseeable future. Dillon was a day worker on yachts in Newport and Ft Lauderdale, worked with his father and uncles in the yacht painting business and at National Marine Supply after high school. He was hoping to have a career in the industry.
Patti has made Dillon her first priority, finding herself away from her home, her job and her beloved pets. She is staying near the hospital so she can spend most of her days & nights providing care for her son.
Dillon’s father, Larry Kantlehner, with American Yacht Painting Int’l and Atlantic Coast Yacht Painting, lives in Louisiana and is likewise burdened with the need to work and still travel to support his son who is many miles away. Dillon's brother Blake resides in North Florida.
We are asking our Marine/Yachting community for assistance for Patti and Dillon so that they can meet the challenges ahead. If you are able, please assist with a financial donation to a “GoFundMe” account, the Dillon Kantlehner Recovery Fund www.gofundme.com/773wcbzg
This will go a long way to helping this family face the very long, tough road ahead.
