University of Washington Hockey

The University of Washington Men’s Club Hockey Team is more than just a group of athletes—we’re a tight-knit, student-led organization driven by a passion for competitive hockey and the lifelong friendships that come with it.

This past season, we made history—winning the PAC-8 Championship and earning a spot in the regional tournament. And we’re just getting started. As we look ahead to the 2025-26 season, we’re proud to return nearly our entire roster, setting our sights on an even bigger goal: earning a spot at the national tournament. Our team is committed to putting in the work, both on and off the ice, to get there.

Hockey is an expensive sport, and our program is funded entirely by the players you see on the ice. As a student-run club, we rely heavily on support from our incredible community to help make our season possible.

This past year, our budget exceeded $140,000, covering costs such as:

Ice time: $45,000

Travel (flights, buses, hotels): $80,000

Uniforms and equipment: $8,000

League fees and miscellaneous expenses: $7,000+

We play and practice at the Kraken Community Iceplex and travel throughout the country—from California and Utah to Illinois and Colorado—to compete at a high level and represent the University of Washington with pride. Just as the community gives to us, we believe in giving back.

This past season, our players volunteered at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Seattle Animal Shelter while continuing to make contributions to the Trippy Foundation. Service is at the core of our team culture.

We are actively seeking donations and mutually beneficial partnerships from individuals, businesses, and organizations that believe in supporting student athletes and the growth of hockey in Washington. Your support directly fuels our season, helping cover essential costs, reducing the financial burden on our players, and allowing us to represent the University of Washington on a national stage.
