76-year-old friend has heatstroke from Texas temp

On Thursday evening, I received the news that my dear friend Lynn was hospitalized due to overheating and severe dehydration. The information was frightening, and I immediately rushed to the hospital and spent the entire night by his side. Lynn's hospitalization was caused by his A/C going out when temperatures were 110°+ this past week in Texas. He spent the week inside his house that was 100°+, without a complaint or ever thinking to "burden" anyone else with his troubles. If you know Lynn, that doesn't surprise you. He's spent his entire life helping others who needed it, never asking for anything in return. He is being released from the hospital and I refuse to let him return to his house with his A/C still out. I had an A/C company come out and received a quote to replace the A/C for $5,500. After losing his beloved wife, Kathy, last October, I am hoping our German Shepherd family can come together and raise these funds for Lynn after all he has done for us in the German Shepherd community.
