One of our own needs our help to keep her attorney and pay legal

fees that have been adding up to start to rebuild her life along with her children. The

amount we are trying to raise is what is currently owed now and needed to keep her

legal team going.

We need to pull together NOW to help Sadie with her legal fees so she can keep

moving forward towards the life she and her children deserve.

Those closest to Sadie are aware of the circumstances and events that have lead to

Sadie taking the necessary steps to get out of the relationship she was in. She has

spent a lot of energy and time hiding what has been going on behind closed doors out

of fear. Domestic Abuse is often hidden and silent to the public.

It has been a long process physically, emotionally and financially but she has taken the

steps and continues to work on healing.

She is working, supporting herself and children on her salary. She has been blessed to

have found this job with very supportive and flexible coworkers.

She is far from her Maryland family and friends, her support system and has been struggling for long enough in silence. Her family and a couple of her closest friends have been traveling back and forth to show support and be at court hearings that unfortunately keep getting continuances. The legal system is very slow, its been over 8 months with little progress.

Each time she goes to court and there is a continuance granted, or delay, she still has

to pay her attorney.

Sadie and her children deserve to rebuild their lives in a SAFE, healthy, loving environment surrounded by those of us who love them very much. We know a financial burden is hard enough on top of taking care of your family, bills, and being alone fighting for a new and safe life.

We all know Sadie would advocate and help any of us if we needed it, we have personally seen her stop to help the homeless numerous times because of her loving heart. She is an amazing mother who has instilled great love and exuberant energy in her children. No one deserves to live in fear or be exposed to abuse.

This has been a very hard journey, with slow progress. Our message to anyone out there trying to get out of an abusive relationship, not seeing a way out is to reach out and let anyone know, let everyone know until someone will listen. There are people who can guide you to where you need to be and help you get there. This is too big to try and do on your own.

This journey is very taxing in every aspect. As family and friends of Sadie we are continually worried and concerned for her and the children. This is how we want to help ease her burdens. Any amount would be greatly appreciated, our goal is big, so are her legal fees. Lets pull together and help make this happen.
