Shelby Peterson

Shelby Peterson was in a car accident this past Friday morning, February 12th, on her way to work. Shelby is a wonderful, beautiful 23 year old lady with a heart for God and the children she helps. She is a Speech Pathologist for the local school system. God has truly covered this entire situation but Shelby did sustain some injuries. She has a broken neck, broken left femur that was protruding through the skin and a broken right wrist . Surgery #1 was to repair the leg with a rod inserted to replace some of the crushed femur. Surgery #2 repaired the wrist with a metal plate. Praise God no surgery was necessary for her neck, but she will be in a neck brace for at least 8 weeks. She only has 6 days of time off and then will not be paid for the remainder of the days she misses. She will also incur many medical bills, rehab and therapy bills and will need to replace her vehicle. She has insurance but we all know that it never covers it all. And without pay from work, this will make things more difficult. I just put an amount in as a goal to get things going but please feel free to donate whatever you feel God leading you to do.
