Project Yellow

Project Yellow is a student-led nonprofit organization established in January of 2021, aspiring to educate children about mental health through various unique lesson plans, exciting activities, and engaging discussions done in elementary schools through our website and volunteering events.

We strive to impact students' lives by implementing a research-backed curriculum that will be sustainable for years to come and teach children how to live a healthier happier life.

We accomplish this by having college chapters of our programs on different college campuses across the United States (currently at UT Austin). Students then use our lesson plans and volunteer at schools to teach children through our lesson plans consisting of gratitude, positivity, emotions, stress relief, nutrition, communication, mindfulness, confidence, etc.

We also are currently creating our curriculum in an interactive online format that will be available for teachers, parents, and children to do through our website (https://projectyellowtechn.wixsite.com/my-site - still in progress) and by volunteering in children-friendly areas such as parks, malls, etc. Plans for Project Yellow in the future consist of providing funding for children to get therapy, international programs for families and children, many cities developing our programs, permanent partnerships/connections, consistent grants, donors, donations, and a worldwide environment of open conversations about mental health from a young age.

In the past year and a half, we have been able to visit ten schools, have ~100 general members/officers, network with over 200 mental health professionals, create 5 lesson plans, all to have been able to educate over 2000 students.
However, each school visit is costly with printing costs, supplies, transportation, and mental health supplies.
If we could gain any financial support in gaining supplies, it would help a lot and be able to give back to so many kids.

Our goal is to raise $5000 to cover the cost of school visits and build our website to easily provide our organization-made materials in an interactive format, a future app, and to children's mental health overall. Thank you so much in advance for any donation!
