Honoring Scott’s Legacy and Supporting His Family

Hi! My name is Christine and I am establishing this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister-in-law, Amanda, and my niece, Natalie. My brother, Scott Lightner was diagnosed January 2, 2026, with an aggressive form of esophageal cancer. His cancer was Stage 4 with metastasis to the chest, abdomen, pelvis, and spine. He was approved for a new chemotherapeutic medication that he should have received March 9th, but he has declined quickly and is now on hospice.

Scott has touched so many lives while working for Bricker's French Fries with Amanda and Natalie. He also worked for Hoke Mills, Ettline Foods, Gordon Foods, and most recently York Hospital. He loved the local sprint car races and the numerous other places he traveled to selling chicken strips and French fries. He had a smile and a joke for everyone.

I started this GoFundMe to raise money to help pay the many medical bills, household bills, and to establish a fund for Natalie, who hopes to study early childhood education or nursing in college. His goal in life was to see Natalie graduate, attend college, and get married.

Thank you to all who choose to donate, regardless of the amount. Every little bit will help Amanda and Natalie to pick up the pieces of this tragedy and slowly move on.
