My father-in-law, Chris Flores, was flown to Colorado Springs after his health started to decline and he could no longer keep himself upright to walk. He has experienced multiple falls and needed assistance with all of his needs. His wife, Cathy, has been very overwhelmed with everything that has happened in the last week and the weeks leading up to this medical emergency.
He will need to be in a care facility for rehabilitation before he will be able to come home, as doctors want him to be able to walk with a walker, unassisted (meaning no one holding him up or onto him). All of this means that there will be medical expenses to cover.
The same evening he was flown to Colorado Springs, we came home to their house being flooded. There is significant water damage and flooring will need to be replaced in their home. Both the medical care that my father-in-law will need and the repairs to their home will be more than what they can afford at this time.
Chris is a disabled veteran who served in the Army, and his two sons also served in the military (Marine Corps & Army). His wife serves the community through her work and all of her volunteer work that she does with different organizations. My mother-in-law and father-in-law have always been there to help others when in need, and now they need help to get them through this difficult and stressful time. Anything that can be donated, and even a share, is greatly appreciated.
