REVIVING HOMES MINISTRIES!
After 25 plus years of drug and alcohol abuse and now 10 plus years of sobriety its time to give back.
THE VISION
The Vision that God has given us is to open homes for men coming out of treatment, jail or prison. These well-furnished homes will uplift and encourage men through Christian mentoring, discipleship, aftercare programs and by connecting them with the larger church family. We want to see men who have already begun a New Life with Christ get additional help. No one can survive alone . To walk alone is to invite catastrophe.
THE BREAK
We will need $15,000 per home that we open. We’ll start with one home, of course, in God’s timing. The funds will be used to help with the mortgage, utilities, normal maintenance, and to set up a reserve for unexpected costs (like replacing an appliance).
We are looking to build up a reserve of 6-9 months of rent to maintain each home, which will be used to help make payments as we fill them with men. The men will be expected to pay rent as soon as they get a job and are working.
The short and long-term vision is that the homes will be self-funded and that the support we raise will be for scholarships and supporting the Homes in other ways like gas for the van that drives the guys around, etc.
We would like to have a minivan or another multi person vehicle to transport men to groups or events. This gives us the ability to help men who might not have a license or are working on getting one.
