My little angel went into Congenital heart failure May 17 2021,we have known and prepared for the inevitable since she was born 6 1/2 years ago.
We had to immediately life flight her here to Dallas Medical City Childrens Hospital where we have remained for almost a month.Our thoughts were Gigi would be stabilized,treated and released after 7-10 days but unfortunately it has been determined that she has infection inside the heart as a result of a damaged valve,consequently requiring open heart surgery.
Our family was prepared to financially take on this battle and after consultation from doctors,insurance representatives and on site social services aides,it is the conclusion that this will be a long term medical issue that will not only strain resources but with the continuing high cost of this type care,will continue to deplete on hand finances.
Being proud parents who fully and lovingly accept our responsibilities,have now realized that a 4 week stay here,an immediate 6 week hospital stay back home and then back to Dallas for the heart surgery will require a "village mentality".
We as 2 working parents understand things are tight and we would never be blind to other families plights,so we humbly ask that if you are able to contribute,we are, and would continue to be grateful.
I as the leader of this family must turn over every stone because my job is never ending on this journey.
For those who can not,please,we understand and would only request that you stop by and say hello to Gigi, she absolutely loves the attention.
In closing, we must humbly offer our thanks and love in advance,we love you.Your support has been so overwhelming and so heart warming,how could we ever forget what you've already done for this family.
What God has ordered,know that we understand our assignment.This journey does not end with hospital stays or surgeries,it ends when this baby stands on her own two feet 20 years later knowing her mother and father done everything in their power with the help of beautiful souls like yourselves.Then our assignment will be complete.
