Ferdinand - Fund for his Future

Meet Ferdinand, a sweet five year old neutered pit bull mix, who needs your help.  He is such a gentle giant that we named him after Ferdinand the children's book character, a bull who would rather smell flowers than fight in bullfights. That is our boy all right.  He loves all the volunteers and staff members, as well as all the other dogs and cats in the shelter.  We were hoping he would be quickly adopted.  But a few months ago, we noticed Ferdinand was limping and whimpering.  Tests showed that Ferdinand had painful torn ligaments in BOTH of his back legs. The surgery will cost $5000 and his rehabilitation will be even more.  We are a small local animal shelter and do not have the funds for this emergency situation with Ferdinand. RIght now he needs assistance in walking and his walking must be very limited.  It is not the life that Ferdinand deserves.  We are asking for your help to help us help our Ferdinand.
