My beautiful daughter Kayla, recently found out she has breast cancer at the age of 35. This was devastating to hear merely weeks before the anniversary of our only other child's passing. She has been so strong and so incredibly brave through all of this. She has insurance through her husbands job but the out of pocket is really high and the bills are piling up. She was working for CVS Healthcare when she first found out cancer was a possibility. They told her she could not miss anymore days to go to the doctor as she had already missed two.  Once when she found the lump, was concerned and went to her primary care doctor. Then again when her doctor sent her to get a mammogram and ultrasound done because she was concerned. Kayla went to lunch one day and had a missed call from her doctor asking her to call as soon as she could. The news was not good. She talk to her lead, then her supervisor, her warehouse supervisor and then human resources. They all said the same thing... "Maybe this isn't the job for you", and had her sign a resignation paper. A kind hearted lady named Patti was willing to give Kayla a job even knowing she was about to go into surgery and had her on the payroll an entire month before Kayla was able to work. She worked for two weeks before the news of that scary scary cancer word was set in stone and the second surgery was scheduled. Now we wait... And Pray... There might need to be a third surgery, a mastectomy. So with Kayla out recovering from now two surgeries and all the doctors visits, we would like to ask for any help you may be able to give.
