Send WWII Vet to Normandy for 75th Anniversary

Tax deductible
"I haven't said one word about this since the summer of 1944. I will talk to you for 15 minutes, but don't ask me who I killed or who I saw killed."

These are the first words Stan Friday said to me when I met him 5 years ago. These same words are similarly said to the Sons and Daughters of World War II veterans whose fathers wouldn't talk to them about the war. I've learned that many of them still carry the pain of war and their wounds are not always on the outside.

Together, we can honor Stan for his service and sacrifice and help him heal from the emotional wounds he's carried for 75 years. Help me raise the money to send this 96-years-old veteran and his wife to be with fellow members of the Greatest Generation for the 75th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, France. He served as a Corporal T-5 with the 80th Infantry Division as a scout and fought all throughout France, Bastogne and Germany.  He is a bronze star recipient with four oak leaf clusters.

I lost my Dad 6 years ago. He flew 50 missions as a B-17 ball turret gunner in 1944 with the 15th Air Force. Stan represents all our fathers who are no longer here.

Together, we can send Stan on "One More Mission".
