In Memory of Christie

Christie Farinas Marzoa was many things: A wife. A mother. A friend. A daughter. An aunt. A coworker. Whether you knew her for months, or for years (or decades, as some of us did), she impacted your life in some way. She made you feel at ease from the moment she met you, and would do anything for her friends and family.

Christie faced many challenges, including losing her mother to cancer and her brother to a horrible incident. But she persevered. You wouldn’t know the hardships she faced, or was facing for the past four years, because she always had a bright smile on her face and a positive attitude. While she lost her battle with cancer and is no longer with us in body, she is leaving behind an immense amount of medical bills, a handicapped child that has lost his mother at 8 years old, her doting husband, and all those that knew her and loved her.

We, her friends and family, wish to celebrate her life, but also continue her legacy. This GoFund Me has been created to ease some of the burden her husband now faces as he rebuilds his and their son’s life, without her.

We know the last thing Christie would want is for her family to experience financial hardship due to her medical complications. Let’s ease the burden for them, no amount is too small. Thank you.
