Over the past 60+ days I have been participating in the #75Hard challenge, a
mental toughness program designed by Andy Frisella. It's a program to help you
become more self aware of your daily actions and how they affect your life, both
for good and bad. It's a program of self accountability and self discovery.
The program requires you to do two workouts a day (45 min each), at
different times of the day, and one has to be done outside. You are also required
to read 10 pages of a mindful (non fiction) entrepreneur type book a day. Drink
one gallon of water daily (nothing in it plain water), follow a strict diet, no cheat meals and no alcohol. You also have to take a progress picture
*Very important to the program. There are no days off on this program. Fail any
of these, and you fail the program and have to start over. It's legit the toughest
thing I've ever done. It's also been the BEST thing I've ever done.
I've discovered more about who I am, what I'm capable of, how I treat my time,
where I've lacked discipline, and where I've been sleeping in life. It's also awoken
men to the many excuses I've made in life to not get ahead, to blame others, etc. I've realized how good I have it in life and how blessed I am. This program is what proper therapy does for people.
Living in Los Angeles I've seen the struggle many less fortunate hispanic families
go through each day. Such as, being crammed in a small studio apartment, not
getting paid the same as other people, language barriers, etc. The mental struggle of getting by, especially during these times, can create a negative reaction in the
human brain. Depression, anxiety, are results. Yet, these families do not know
about therapy, they just work work work. Their kids see and live with these
emotions and do not know any better. ( you get where this is going)
Here is the bottom line. I believe that mental health is one of the most important
things in life. Yet this isn't taught enough. Some families do not even know how
to improve their mental health, where to turn to, or even afford these services. So here's the deal.
75Hard was my therapy, and to give back 100x what I have learned I am ending
my challenge by running 4 miles, every 4 hours for 48 hours. This is dedicated to mental health awareness. I know this will be a challenge and I know this is
something the average human won't ever do. That's the point, I want to make a
statement of how important mental toughness (Mental Health) is.
Please join me by donating to LatinXTherapy. The goal is $7500. Every bit
helps.

Love you guys.
