Eli's surgery
Donation protected
UPDATE: One surgery turned into three, vet costs mounted because physical therapy was needed beforehand to make the orthopaedic surgery possible, he needed an additional procedure which he just had, but he seems to have had an adverse reaction to the anaesthesia & medications so needs further tests and treatment (liver values off the charts.)

Hi friends,
Eli has had trouble walking recently and a vet visit confirmed that his patellar luxation (kneecap jumping out of its grove) has worsened to a grade 3, which must be operated on within 1-2 weeks to reduce his pain and prevent worsening symptoms but especially due to a danger of cruciate ligament tear. He'll need to stay immobilised in a crate for six weeks after the operation, but if he heals as he should, he will be able to exercise and enjoy life as before afterwards, which is especially desirable since he (hopefully) has more than half of his life before him.
Any help is greatly appreciated ❤️
