Okanogan County Strong!
Donation protected
This year has been one of the worst when it comes to forest fires! And now the largest one in state history has been burning near my hometown of Tonasket (pop.1023)! Evacuation levels have risen in so many towns in Okanogan County, it has left resources to a minimum, and this is just the beginning.
With so much range land being destroyed, along with personal homes and property, long range efforts are going to be needed to support all the communities in the area including Tonasket, Omak, Riverside, Okanogan, Oroville, Loomis, Republic, Twisp, Conconully, and Winthrop for months to come.
As short term supplies and support pour into the area,
this fund is intended to provide long range assistance to our friends, family, the communities that we are still all a part of. Homes need to be rebuilt, livestock and farm animals need to fed since they no longer have pastures to roam, and families need help getting back on their feet and starting over.
Please take a moment to contribute, whether via this site or directly to any of the local towns, hospitals, or shelters, any amount will help and hopefully this will make it easy for you to take part in the recovery process! All funds collected here with go directly to the Tonasket/Okanogan Valley Lions Club and other local agencies in need. Last year, the local Lions Club distributed 100% of funds collected (30k )to Carlton complex victims. If you feel more comfortable donating directly to the Lions Club, you may do so on-line or by mail. Please note: Okanogan Complex on your donation.

Show the eastside that the westside hasn't forgotten them! The more we all get the word out, the more citical support they will receive.
