SUDC &Josalyn Memorial Playground

On April 6, 2012 our family was suddenly faced with the devastating loss of our beautiful 15-month old daughter, Josalyn Faith-Renee, who died in her sleep from SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood). This occurs when an apparently healthy child beyond the age of 12 months dies without warning and without known cause found after thorough investigation.
Since then we have been on a journey of healing from our grief at the loss of our precious little girl. A very important part of our journey is devoted to raising funds for research to prevent SUDC and to support many families through the SUDC Foundation, a national non-profit organization. We hope that someday no family will suffer this same tragic loss. In addition, we will partner with other community groups to build a memorial playground for many children and their families to enjoy at Lake Rim Park in Fayetteville, NC. It will include swings, Josalyn's favorite.
