Waitings are organising a “Grand Day Out” on the 18th September'21 which is consisting of different modes of transport from our yard at Cliburn around Lake Ullswater and then back to our Yard whereupon Adrian will have prepared a succulent Hog Roast.

Alongside the day out, we are looking to raise funds for two worthy charities namely, “Hospice at Home” and “Doing it for Laura”.

 

We are looking for support from our Facebook friends to help in our mission to raise money and awareness for 21 year old Laura who has a GBM4 brain tumour. We, Waitings lost our director, Victoria Waiting aged 44, to GBM4 in 2016 and are incredibly humbled to be supporting the funding of Laura’s treatment. The ground breaking methods she has been using have seen her live for one and a half years beyond her initial prognosis of just 12 months. We want to make sure this continues.

 

Also we are supporting Hospice at Home, they provide a free trained nursing service at home for people suffering from cancer and other life threatening illnesses, in addition they offer invaluable support to families and carers. Nursing and support services are provided free of charge to patients in North and East Cumbria and the city of Carlisle

 

 

 

 

We intend to raise a huge sum of money to split between these two well-deserved charities
