Zahed Children Cancer Fund

Bjaka, Lucas and Sasja are raising money in honor of their father, Cameron Zahed.  Cameron had a type of pancreas cancer and after only a little over a year to fight the illness, he died in 2015.  The kids would like to raise awareness and funds for pancreas research at the UW Carbone Cancer Center.  Pancreas cancer is the third leading cause of cancer deaths, claiming over 41,000 lives in the USA alone each year.  It's also one of the few cancers that is increasing in incidence.  Sadly, the short life expectancy of patients with this disease means that there are few survivors to raise public awareness.  

Bjaka, Lucas and Sasja would like to raise at least $1,000 in order to have their father's name printed on the back of each of the "Pedal for Pancreas" t-shirts.  Funds can be sent via this website, directly to the family or to James Listug, Outreach Specialist at the UW Carbone Cancer Center, 600 Highland Avenue, K4/658 , Madiosn, WI 53792 (just note that the funds are in honor of the Zaheds).
