Hi. My name is Mohammad Isaqzadeh, and I am a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Weatherhead Scholars Program at Harvard University. I am originally from Herat, Afghanistan.

Following the devastating 6.3 magnitude earthquake northeast of Herat city, Afghanistan needs immediate support. The catastrophe has already claimed over 2,000 lives, injured thousands, and left countless families without homes. With the onset of winter, these affected communities, already battered by years of conflict and underdevelopment, are in a race against time to receive essential aid. Nightly temperatures are plunging, and many are forced to sleep outside, fearing their damaged homes might crumble.

Integrity Watch, a not-for-profit organization with a proven track record of promoting transparency and combating corruption, is partnering with us in this initiative. Their expertise in community empowerment and close collaboration with civil society organizations ensures that the raised funds will be utilized efficiently and transparently. These funds aim to support people whose homes were destroyed or severely damaged by the earthquake. The assistance will provide essential items like food, tents, blankets, and heating supplies.

Your contribution can make a significant impact, helping the most vulnerable rebuild their lives, homes, and communities. Together, we can bring warmth, safety, and hope to those facing one of the harshest winters of their lives.
