I am Ahmed, from Gaza, where nothing remains as it once was.

No food to satisfy us, no water to quench our thirst, no safety to protect my loved ones.

I am the sole provider for my small family, stepping out every day fighting for a bite to silence their hunger and a sip to ease their thirst.

I see their tired little faces, hear the silent pain in their eyes, and feel the heavy weight of responsibility on my shoulders. Yet, there is nowhere to run, and no time to grieve.

Every moment that passes deepens our wounds, and every breath I take is a promise that I will hold on — even if everything around me is lost.
