Hey Everyone, I decided to start a gofundme for Mary Penney. She is the Daughter of the late Hurbert, and Alice Murphy of St. Bride's and Bunny, Michelle, Tommy and Sean's Mom... Mary was recently diagnosed with incurable stage 4 cancer. She has an inoperable tumour at the bottom of her esophagus, also invading her upper stomach. Along with this, her CT scan has also detected cancer spots in her liver. Mary has been unable to eat solid foods for several months now and has only been able to manage fluids. She met with her radiation oncologist at the Cancer Clinic in St. John’s. She will be starting radiation therapy in the hopes of shrinking the tumour. Her doctor has also recommended chemotherapy once the radiation treatments are completed. Mary has lost a tremendous amount of weight in the past few months, and due to the tumour, she is now finding it very difficult even to drink fluids. Her doctor has started her on medication to help her tolerate the liquids and keep her from getting dehydrated. She will be travelling to St. John’s from Placentia for her treatments. This, along with the expenses for her diet and medications, will be very costly for her. Please consider donating to help Mary with these expenses so she can focus this time on her treatment plan.
