Heidi, our amazing pupil services member of staff in the office, had some horrendous news in the Summer holidays that her 11 year old son (Sam) had been diagnosed with Leukaemia after being rushed up to Bristol Hospital.
Since then Sam has been through so much in the last 2 months, from starting intensive chemo straight away, having different surgeries to get him ready to have the chemo, having sepsis and not being allowed to leave the ward until today (08.10.25).
For anyone this would completely take everything out of you, but Sam is still his smiley, happy self, even with everything that he has gone through.
We cannot even come to imagine what the family have been through other these last two months, many of us as parents know this would be your worst nightmare.
However, there is something that we can do to make it slightly better for him. He loves to read, so we can get him a Kindl, vouchers for books, he loves his football (massive Spurs fan) and lego!
So, whatever you can give to make Sam smile, we would really appreciate it! Let's come together to do something amazing for one of our own!
