This past week has brought a sudden and unimaginable turn for Tatum and the Peddle family.
On Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026, Tatum was involved in a severe motorcycle accident that changed her life in an instant. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was airlifted to a Toronto Trauma Centre, where she remains in the Critical Care Unit. Among multiple serious injuries, she sustained damage to her T5 and T6 vertebrae resulting in a severed spinal cord. Doctors have shared that she is not expected to walk again.
In true Tatum fashion, she is facing this new reality with fierce determination and unwavering strength. Every day brings new challenges, but she continues to fight through each one with courage, tenacity, and a remarkable will to overcome — while still showing the same compassion and care for others that has always defined her.
If you know Tatum, you know exactly who she is.
She has always been someone who shows up — without hesitation, without question, for others. Whether it was working on the front lines alongside her mum during the pandemic or standing beside a friend in their darkest moments, Tatum has always put others first. She lives with a full and open heart, embracing every person and every moment with warmth, passion, and a spirit that draws people in. Tatum has truly never met a stranger — even if you thought you could remain one.
Now, she needs us.
Tatum has spent her life lifting others up. Today, it’s our turn to lift her.
As she begins the long and difficult journey of rebuilding her life, your support will go directly toward:
Specialized Rehabilitation — Extensive and ongoing physical rehabilitation beyond what is covered, including spinal cord injury specific therapy programs designed to maximize her recovery and independence.
Home Modifications — Tatum will require significant modifications to her home before she can return safely, including wheelchair ramps, accessible bathroom upgrades, and structural changes to accommodate her new mobility needs.
Adaptive Equipment — Lightweight and specialized wheelchairs, vehicle hand controls, and other adaptive tools that will allow Tatum to reclaim her independence and quality of life.
Travel and Accommodations — Ensuring her family and support system can be by her side every step of the way, without financial stress pulling them away from where they need to be.
Every dollar raised goes directly toward giving Tatum the best possible chance at the fullest life she can live. This is not just about surviving what happened. It is about making sure barriers are mitigated and she has every resource available to truly thrive so she can continue her journey on bringing positivity to everyone she meets.
However you know Tatum — whether for a moment or a lifetime — she has left an impact on you. Now is the time to come together as a community and show that same love back to her.
Many people in Tatum's life have asked if they can help financially so if that is your desire, here is your avenue. And just as importantly, share this page. Let’s surround Tatum with the same care, strength, and unwavering support that she has always given so freely to others.

"She made broken look beautiful, and strong look invincible. She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings"....the quote Tatum had ironically tattooed on her leg a few years back.
