Everyone keeps asking us to tell them if we need anything, so here it is!!! As you all know, 2022 has kicked us in the teeth over and over. All of which has taken a financial toll on us. And it’s causing even more stress on Eric because he’s the main bread winner for the family. He keeps saying he needs to get back to work to provide for his family. We were both off 2 weeks in January with Covid that was unpaid. Then in March he had to have unexpected triple hernia surgery and was off almost 4 weeks without pay. Now, he’s off due to his stroke. The first week he had some paid time off he used. However since then it’s all been unpaid. We are unsure if his short term disability is going to pay anything because they are literally searching for something to deem it pre-existing since the policy went into effect 6 days before his stroke. The guy I talked to told me that!!! Last I heard from doc he will probably be off around 3 months. Short term disability won’t pay that long. We have wiped out our savings with covering our missed unpaid time, all the doctor copays, medical bills, trying different meds and treatments for Zoey and all the other crap. I’m eating at the hospital every day that I’m here and it’s not cheap. Plus they don’t give you much on your patient food trays and he’s a big boy lol so I’m getting him extra stuff.
Eric is going to be off a while and we won’t have any income except mine and honestly after all the insurance stuff comes out of my check, that’s really not a lot!!! He’s also very worried about losing his CDL due to the stroke which will have further impact on us. It’s just all a lot. I have been doing my very best to keep us afloat but it’s getting to a point I need assistance.
All funds raised will go to help cover medical bills, monthly bills and any other things Eric needs to take the weight off him so he can relax and recover!!!!!!
