Winter Needs Help!

Hi, we're Katrina and Jill, and that adorable little fluffball in the cover picture is Winter. And Winter woke Jill up last Saturday, howling in his litterbox when he tried to pee and licking his genitals. We tried to call into his regular doctor, but they're not open on weekends. Calling around in the chain that his vet belongs to, we were told this was an emergency and to bring him to the emergency hospital.

Thus begins the start of a journey that hasn't completed yet. We have reached the edge of our cash reserves and we don't know what's coming yet. So we've decided to start a fundraiser to see if we can get the costs covered for what might be coming down the pike so that we have the money in hand.

Winter is a six year old Maine Coon mix. He already has feline hyperkinesia (a seizure disorder) and is on regular medications for that. He loves to play fetch with a ball or his springy toys, or chase his sister around the house. He also loves to burrow under Jill's covers and get as close to her as possible. If you're lucky enough to hear him purr, you can hear him from across the room. He's the sweetest cat we've ever had and we describe him as our Santa Cruz surfer dude.
