Hi I’m Francis, a 22 year old trans man. I’ve known I was transgender in some capacity since I was 11, I’ve known I wanted to start HRT since I was 14 & top surgery was always something I knew I’d have to think about at a later date. Ive been on testosterone for a year; it has completely changed my life. Over the past year I’ve been thinking long & hard about top surgery & I’ve accepted that it’s something I need if I’m ever going to feel 100% at home in my body.

I’m still considering what surgeon to go with, but getting top surgery in London will cost me around £8500. I’m starting my goal at £5000 & hoping to save £3000 myself.

I work in hospitality & wont be able to work for at least 6 weeks so I will also need to work out how much to save for living expenses post surgery - so the goal of this fundraiser will probably change.
